Get back on the road to work in Richmond with Room to Work

Room to Work is a six week career development course for mature jobseekers and career changers, starting on Monday, 15th April, 2024.

Room to Work is delivered by Richmond Work Match which offers employment support, advice, and guidance to hundreds of residents in Richmond upon Thames. The programme consists of twelve sessions over the course of six weeks. Each two and a half hour session, taking place on Monday and Tuesday mornings, will help you learn and practice a new skill or improve one you have already learnt.

You’ll be attending with people in a similar situation as yourself – receiving peer support as well as tailored one-to-one mentoring provided by the Course Leader, Marisca Ribeiro, a training professional with decades of experience as a workshop leader.

Classes will also feature a relevant and informative presentation by a recognised expert so you can gain insights and insider knowledge that will equip you with the skills to find and land a job that’s right for you. You can also benefit from practice sessions designed to help you master skills and techniques that will improve your employability.

During the course you have the opportunity to: learn current job search methods, write an effective CV for every application, practise competency based interviews, activate your network, use LinkedIn and social media, and develop your speaking skills.
