Have your say on green guidelines for developers

New planning guidelines have been created by Hammersmith & Fulham Council to help ensure that developments and new homes are more environmentally friendly.

Developers, landowners, homeowners, planning officers, and other interested parties can use the new “Supplementary Planning Document” as guidance when creating and reviewing planning applications.

Please share your views on the planning guidelines before the deadline of Thursday 8th June.

All newly constructed homes, home additions, home upgrades, non-domestic projects, and mixed-use developments would be subject to the new supplemental policies.

“Together with developers and residents, we want to transform the way we build, power and heat our buildings to ensure that new developments have no significant impact on our borough and the planet,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member on Climate Change & Ecology.

“This new guidance is another important step towards our ambitious target to reach net zero carbon emissions in H&F by 2030.”

The public consultation lasts until midnight on Thursday 8th June 2023. Representations may be made either in writing or by email. You can email your response to localplan@lbhf.gov.uk Or send by post to Policy and Spatial Planning, 1st Floor, 3 Shortlands, Hammersmith, W6 8DA.
