Ongoing Murder Investigation Following Westminster Incident

A murder investigation is currently underway after an incident in Westminster. According to the Metropolitan Police, officers were called at 10.40pm on Tuesday, 4th June, following reports of a fight on Bell Street, at the junction with Edgware Road, NW1.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 19-year-old man suffering from a knife wound. They administered CPR until paramedics from the London Ambulance Service arrived. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the young man tragically died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

A post-mortem examination conducted on 6th June, revealed that the cause of death was a single stab wound to the heart.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of murder: a 22-year-old, a 26-year-old, and a 24-year-old. Two of the men have been bailed pending further enquiries, while the other man has been released with no further action.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing, including reports that at least one gunshot had been fired.
