Register to vote for the Election by, 18th June.

A General Election has now been called for Thursday, 4th July, when the whole country will elect Members of Parliament to represent 650 constituencies at Westminster. Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to register to vote. In this type of election any British citizen, a qualifying Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of the Republic of Ireland is entitled to vote.

Most people will already have registered to vote in time for the London elections on, 4th May.  If you have not done so by now, you can still register by midnight on, 18th June.

Depending on where they live in H&F, residents will be voting for candidates in one of three Parliamentary constituencies, all of which are new:

If unable to vote in person at a local polling station on, 4th July, residents can apply for a postal vote by 5pm on, 19th June. The deadline for a proxy vote is 5pm on, 26th June.

Residents are advised to get ready with their voter ID – now that it is a requirement to vote in any election.

You can use a UK passport or driving licence and some travel passes but NOT an Oyster card (unless a 60+ Oyster card).
