Salon Privé London comes to Royal Hospital

Salon Privé spawns a second show, taking place in London while the “nucleus” will remain at Blenheim Palace as the Concours d’Elégance, Salon Privé London,

The event is held at the iconic Royal Hospital Chelsea on the 21-23 of April, with the main South Lawn of the property being occupied by some of the world’s greatest cars and motorcycles alike. Models from Bugatti, Maserati, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce will be there.

Maserati’s new MC20, it’s first mid-engined supercar since the MC12, is among the stars. The two-seater uses a 3-litre twin-turbo V6 making 621bhp. That’s good enough to get it to a top speed just over 200mph. Joining it will be the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4. This is the swansong to Lamborghini’s V12 flagship which will soon be replaced after a decade of production. The Aventador replaced the Murcielago and both cars have cemented their places as some of the greatest ever to wear the raging bull on their bonnet.

A number of cars also make their debuts there, including the latest models from Alpine, Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover SVO, Pininfarina and Porsche. Hispano Suiza and Genesis, plus British specialists Envisage, Everrati, Jensen, and Overfinch help provide a line-up that covers everything from reimagined classics to the next generation of electric hypercars.

At the heart of the event is the unique Concours de Vente which sees established dealers from across the UK, Europe, and beyond presenting 60 of their finest collector cars, all of which are for sale. Several specialists are already confirmed for the event including Ecurie Ecosse and The Octane Collection.

But it’s not just cars. Some of the finest two-wheelers will also be there. MV Agusta will bring its Superveloce S while Harley-Davidson will show its all-electric LiveWire. A unique Triumph Bonneville dubbed the Bobber Black. This hand-built machine was made by British company Thornton Hundred which specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke motorcycles. Indian Motorcycles and Krazy Horse, which has set up shop at the former home of Bristol cars in Kensington High Street, will take centre stage with its bikes as well as accessories, clothing and heritage.

To end the year, look out for Salon Privé’s main event to come to Blenheim Palace on the 4th of September. Over 1,000 cars will be on display for one of the UK’s most prestigious motoring events.
